This project is part of the National Tree-Planting Campaign launched in 1997 that has an overall target of planting 20 million trees by the year 2020. The Sponsor-A-Tree-for-Life project allows individuals or corporations to contribute towards mangrove restoration by sponsoring trees at a rate of One Hundred Ringgit Malaysia Only (RM100) per tree. It is a joint project between SWCS and Rotary Club of Kota Kinabalu.
